We started OurPath 5 years ago with an ambitious goal.

Could we solve type 2 diabetes, help millions of people living with the condition, and save the NHS £10 billion each year?

As two 25-year olds, we were probably delusional.

We were told we were wasting our time. We were told we’d never get into the NHS. We were told we’d never solve it with a digital programme.

5 years later, we’re unbelievably proud of what our small, mission-driven team has achieved.

We’ve built a programme that people love. Something that doesn’t rely on fad diets or short-term thinking. Something that doesn’t shame or blame people.

Something that has been proven to be sustainable for the long term.

However, throughout our journey – or you might say: our path… – we came to realise two important things.

Firstly, that the programme didn’t need to be restricted to people living with type 2 diabetes and those referred by GPs in the NHS.

The programme is applicable to anybody looking to make a lifestyle change, no matter what their background or life situation.

Secondly, that everything we do could be boiled down to one simple thing: habit change.

We all have habits. Things we do every day without really thinking about them.

Morning coffee. Lunchtime crisps. Evening drive. Nighttime drink. Sometimes we don’t even notice we’re doing them.

But we do notice their impacts. We notice when we’re feeling a bit slower, or our jeans are a bit tight, or we find it harder to get up in the morning.

Over the last 5 years it’s become clear that habits are the driving force behind gaining weight – and losing it.

As habit experts, we know the key to changing them successfully is keeping it up, long term. So, we stay with you, by your side, in your pocket, helping you keep up these positive changes for good.

In the end, you’ll find you’re not trying to lose weight, you’re not depriving yourself or counting calories, you’re just living better, every day.

Whilst the name OurPath has served us fantastically well up to this point, and reflects the journey we’re all taking together, we wanted our new brand to embody habit change.

As a result, we hope you’re going to be as excited as we are about our new brand and new name:

Let’s kick bad habits and make healthy ones instead!

Some FAQS

What does this mean for me?

You will notice that the colours in our app have changed. Everything in the app will work exactly the same way as before, and our programme and nutrition recommendations have not changed.

Are the people working for Second Nature going to be the same?

Yes – we are the same company and the same people 🙂

Is it still the same programme? (e.g content, nutrition guidelines, recipes)

Yes – the content, programme recommendations and app features are exactly the same as before.

The only change you will notice in the app is the new colours and a few new images.

Is the app the same?

We have updated the colours, however, the layout, features and functionality of the app will remain the same.

Do I need to re-download the app?

Yes, you’ll need to update the app to the latest version to see the changes. The app will still be on your phone but you’ll notice that the app name has changed from OurPath to Second Nature.

To update, please go to the App Store (if you have an iOS device) or Google Play Store (if you have an Android device) and download any available updates. Deleting and re-downloading the app will also ensure that you’re on the latest version (don’t worry, all of your data will remain saved to your account).

Will I need a new login?

No, you can use the same username and password as before.

What is your new website?

Our new website is www.secondnature.io. However, if you search for the old OurPath website you will be taken to the Second Nature website automatically.

Why do my packaging/books still say OurPath?

If you have signed up recently, some of your packaging and books might still say OurPath. Don’t worry, the content in the books is exactly the same, they just have different colours and an updated design.

Can I buy Second Nature merchandise?

We will have new Second Nature merchandise available soon and will be uploading to our shop when it is ready. Be sure to keep an eye out for this 🙂

We will also be sending out an email and will advertise on our social media platforms once this is available for purchase.

How do I contact your support team?

You can contact our support team in the app by clicking ‘Speak to customer support’ from Settings or the Chat page, or you can email them at support@secondnature.io.

Well done! I was one of the people who thought Our Path sounded like a cult – this is much more ‘do what it says on the tin’. Like the new colours & veggies too!

Congratulations on the new name.
It reflects the focus on new habits and also eating naturally.
I never thought about it before…but OurPath could sound a bit biblical… 😀
